Maxima heritage: A look back at seven generations of 4-Door Sports Cars
The 2016 Maxima is the 8th generation of Nissan's iconic 4-Door Sports Car (or 4DSC) - though the term wasn't coined until the 3rd generation 1989 model. The very first model to wear the Maxima name had an "8" in its name - the 1981 Datsun 810 Maxima. Technically, it was the 2nd generation Datsun 810, but the first official Maxima for those keeping score. For the 1982 model year, the 810 badging was removed and Maxima quickly went on to become one of the best known and most popular Datsuns/Nissans for the next three-plus decades. NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The 2015 Nissan Versa Note has been named to Autotrader's list of "10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates." The list of new and pre-owned vehicles selected by Autotrader editors was chosen not only for their affordability and fuel efficiency but also for "desirable technology features and stylistic appeal."
The popular Versa Note was introduced for the 2014 model year and added a new sports model, the Versa Note SR, for 2015. It offers 40 miles-per-gallon highway fuel economy (Xtronic transmission-equipped models) and a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP)* of $14,180 USD.

Nissan Leaf takes on Tesla and Chevy Bolt by getting a 105-mile battery for 2016!
Higher trim levels are expected to receive a 30-kWh battery pack for the 2016 model year, while the entry-level 'S' package will retain the current 24-kWh module, two unnamed dealers told InsideEVs.The report suggests the 25-percent boost in battery capacity will bring an equivalent jump in range, bringing the EPA-estimated driving distance up from 84 miles to 105-110 miles.

Nissan donates $50,000 in support of American Red Cross disaster relief efforts
DALLAS – Nissan today announced a $50,000 cash donation to the American Red Cross in support of relief efforts after devastating floods and tornadoes ripped through communities in Texas and Oklahoma this month. Areas affected include the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, together with the Irving, Denton, Weatherford, Cleburne, Corsicana, Terrell, Greenville and McKinney areas.

About the Testing
AMCI Testing obtained the Acura, Audi and BMW anonymously from manufacturer authorized dealerships. The 2016 Nissan Maxima SR was obtained from Nissan North America (the 2016 Maxima goes on sale in early June).AMCI Testing certified lap times were set by two AMCI Testing certified test drivers on Buttonwillow Raceway Park's West Loop (Configuration 28, Clockwise). All stability and traction controls were in the off position for all laps, and each lap began from a 40 MPH "Pace Car" start.

James Davison takes Nissan’s first win in Pirelli World Challenge at Barber Motorsports Park
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - James Davison drove his #33 Always Evolving/RePlay XD Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 to an impressive flag-to-flag victory at the Barber Motorsports Park circuit near Birmingham Saturday. It was Nissan's first overall victory in the Pirelli World Challenge in just the sixth start for the new team. This was also Davison's first win in the series.
