INTRODUCING THE 2017 NISSAN SENTRA NISMO!
The 2017 Sentra NISMO is the latest in a long line of compact Nissan performance sedans going back nearly 50 years to the Datsun 510 and the original Sentra SE-R. The new, first-ever Sentra NISMO is also the first mainstream U.S. Nissan model to offer motorsports-inspired NISMO factory-tuned performance. It joins the GT-R NISMO, 370Z NISMO, JUKE NISMO and JUKE NISMO RS in the 2017 Nissan lineup.

2017 Nissan Altima, earns Top Safety Pick Plus ratings from IIHS
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) today awarded three 2017 Nissan vehicles with its "Top Safety Pick Plus" (TSP+) vehicle safety rating, which is the group's highest-available designation. The 2017 Nissan Altima, Maxima and Rogue each scored at least a "Good" rating in all five "Top Safety Pick" (TSP) test categories and earned "Top Safety Pick Plus" status with "Advanced" or "Superior" ratings for front crash prevention for models equipped with optional Forward Emergency Braking. Beginning this year a "Good" or "Acceptable" rating for headlight performance is also required to earn a TSP+ rating.

How Sentra Became Nissan’s Secret Weapon in America
The midsize sedan is still king in the U.S. in 2014 with four of the top 10 spots sealed up on the sales charts. As gas prices remain low, automakers will likely see this trend continue, but the compact Nissan Sentra has been shooting up the leaderboard by attempting to defy the limitations of its class. In fact, Sentra has been the secret weapon for Nissan as the brand looks to increase its market share in the region and overtake Honda as the fourth biggest seller in the U.S. Nissan's strategy of focusing on its compact car is already working less than one year later.
